An important part of your animal’s health and well being is routine dental care. Oral disease can be painful for your pet as well as lead to systemic illness of your pet’s heart, liver, lungs and kidneys. As part of your yearly wellness exam, we examine your pet’s mouth for signs of dental disease and give recommendations for maintaining a healthy mouth. According to the American Veterinary Dental Society (AVDS), 80 percent of dogs and 70 percent of cats show signs of oral disease by age 3.
Routine Care
A routine dental cleaning includes full mouth radiographs, a complete prophylactic cleaning with ultrasonic scaling, polishing and fluoride. In addition to routine dental care, we also perform tooth extractions and surgery when needed. And for care after the dental, we have a full line of home dental care products.
